Our approach to development centres on innovation through communication. We are continually researching new ways to achieve technical improvements through novel means, working with both suppliers and customers to produce technically advanced compounds. An appreciation of silicone chemistry allows our development team to concentrate on the chemical formulation of our compounds and extrapolate upwards to influence macroscopic capabilities. Our advanced level of understanding in effecting the performance of silicones ensures that we are not deterred by the most technical of demands.
As well as producing high performance silicone we recognise the need for economic viability in our products. We utilise our technical expertise to create cost-effective solutions tailored to the requirements of each individual customer. We appreciate that all manufacturing processes are different and regularly work to harmonise the processability of our compounds with the functional ability of the finished product. The subjective nature of these considerations has led to the augmentation of communication as a significant USP of ourselves as a supplier.
Our laboratory has the capability to perform the vast majority of industry standard tests using regularly calibrated equipment including a rheometer and spectrophotometer. We can measure IRHD, shore A, tensile, tear, compression set, elongation at break, density, indicative flame retardancy and fluid resistance as well as many other physical properties. Extensive testing allows for detailed analysis of our developments which ensures that specifications can be guaranteed. We also have experience in designing and executing bespoke tests for assessing the suitability of compounds in very specific applications.
